Apologies for the rather yellow tones to the photos. Thank you to Katharine at Make and Craft magazine http://www.makeandcraft.com/

Alison also sent me a pretty tea-light holder, that shines out my name when the candle is lit, and I sent a cross stitch Xmas tree to be made up as an ornament or card decoration. |

I love the basket, and will light the candle tonight.
Finally my name in lights!!!
I am now going over to ,http://handmadeharbour.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/handmade-monday-96.html. It's that time of year, everyone is so busy, but make youself a warm drink, with a biscuit or two, and enjoy looking at all the makes over there.

The photos from your walk really gave a feel of the chilly weather. I saw your beautiful bunting and thought it was amazing and then there was more. Puncushions, lovely gloves and the garland of trees is so pretty. Have a lovely week.

Thanks. I love walking at this time of year, when it's blue skies, as long as I've got my YakTracks on my boots. Fantastic buy to help prevent slips on the ice!

Wow you have been busy and they are all gorgous. Your walks sound appealing it is hot and humid here

I remember when I lived in California how the weather was hot at Christmas time, it took some getting used to putting up the trimmings, and spending time at the beach, when over here it was cold and snowing...

You have been so busy this week, love the pic's of your walk this time of year is magical. Those mittens are so pretty and am sure will be well received
ReplyDeleteThank you. They were fairly easy to knit, and a great way to use leftover wool.

A lovely post, I enjoyed the 'walk' through your photo's. I was out for a short stroll this morning, frosty, sunny and blue skies but freeeeezzzzzing cold.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week

It's times like this we appreciate the warmth when we come back inside. I put some nuts out for the birds, but today even the birds aren't venturing out!

I am not sure where to start as you have been very busy. I love the bunting you made in particular, filtering the light through beautifully. Christmas really has arrived for you - lets hope it gets to us soon!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it will. I love how light can make patterns unexpectedly. I have always wanted to have a proper try at stained glass.

Love your frosty photos but great to look at them in a nice warm room!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Just sat in front of my computer with a fluffy blanket wrapped around me!

I like the sunshine through your doily bunting, very delicate looking.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I might make some more to put up at another window.

my goodness! So many wonderful things!
ReplyDeleteYour bunting looks amazing, just perfect for the cool wintery light. Like you, i've been marvelling at the beauty of it all while out on walks :)
I love the little tree you have for the shed - so cute! And the mittens you've made Alison are adorable. Her bowl is gorgeous too - perfect for thread storage! x
Thank you. The swap I made for Alison was the little purse, and the garland of trees. Somehow the picture frames about the swap need altering! So I can see why you thought it was the mittens.

Lots of lovely makes and pics. Frost on leaves and other things in the garden always look so pretty. Gorgeous bunting and the mittens for Alison look lovely, just right for the weather at the moment. Hope you have a good week.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments. I have edited my post, as I made the little purse, and garland of trees for Alison. I think the way the writing was near the picture of the mittens that has created confusion!

Where do you find the time (and the energy)? Your makes look amazing.. I especially love the purse and the Christmas tree bunting... I'm feel in the festive mood after reading about it all.. Sue
ReplyDeleteThanks. I can always manage to find time to craft, even if it's the odd 15 mins, but I have to bribe myself with things like food shopping and other chores that if I do a,b,or c, I can then allow far more time to what I am really passionate about!

What beautiful photographs and makes! You have been really busy - have a good week-end, Jo x
ReplyDeleteThank you. I've come down with a cold, and feel rather fuzzy headed so there's not been too much on the making side of things, although I had a dabble with some shrink back plastic.
ReplyDeleteHope your weekend is good too.

Wow, this is the first time I have visited your Blog and it won't be the last. Alison mentioned you as her swap partner in her blog. I am so glad I came over for a nose. What an array of crafty goodness. Hope you are shaking your cold! Bleurghh!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I've added a bit of stichery to our Xmas cards, made a little purse, and book bag, cold seems to be on it's way out now. Hope you are managing to stay bug free!

I think frost makes everything look so pretty, but I prefer to be inside looking out! Lots of stitchery things going on enjoy the rest of the week.
ReplyDeleteWe are all so busy busy busy, it's nice to find a a bit of space to add a few stitches here and there...
ReplyDeleteHappy Xmas
