craft fair renovation

I found this sweet patchwork quilt at a local vintage and craft fair in Preston and thought it would make up into a traditional baby quilt with a modern twist.

I added fresh new blooms, here and there, then hand stitched around the hexagon shapes and machine appliqued the smaller flowers. A sky blue cotton print completes the backing.

The craft fair is run by Not just vintage UK and The Continental, a pub in Preston holds them on a regular basis.  You never know what goodies are out there !

I visired a gallery in Clitheroe this week.  The artwork was outstanding and beautiful to look at. More about that next time.
